KESIAPAN KELUARGA DALAM MANAJEMEN BENCANA BANJIR ROB DI SEMARANG

Abstract

Background: Tidal flood is an occurence when tidal wave rised and submerging land. Objective: The aim of the study was to know family preparedness in tidal flood disaster management. Method: Qualitative study with phenomenology approach was performed. Eight participants selected by purposive sampling technique with criteria who already experienced flood, had identitity card, and aged above eighteen. The data retrieval conducted by in-depth interview technique. Data analysis which used was analytical context peformed in five stage which is compilling, disassembling, reassembling, interpreting, and concluding. Results: Research resulted in finding six theme of family preparedness in tidal flood management where are preventif system is done by raising floor, no early warning system, no emergency box, financial support is less adequate which causing hopelessness of family. Conclution and recommendation: Family are expected to increase its financial, stress management, and preparing emergency box. Keywords: family preparedness, tidal flood, disaster management
