GAMBARAN TINGKAT KEPATUHAN PERAWAT DALAM PENGGUNAAN ALAT PERLINDUNGAN DIRI (APD) DI RUANG RAWAT INAP ANAK RUMAH SAKIT ISLAM SULTAN AGUNG SEMARANG

Abstract

The level of compliance of nurses in the use of the Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) in the pediatric ward xv + 60 page + 8 table + 15 Appendix Personal Protective equipment is a tool that can be used to protect yourself or the body against some dangers of workplace accidents. The used of PPE should be in accordance with the used procedure to avoid the danger of disease exposure. There are three factors that affect infections that can occur in the child's room and can occur to the child or nurse patients are pathogenitas, virulence and dose. The purpose of research was know the level of compliance of nurses in using Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) in the pediatric ward. This study used a quantitative with the survey method. The sampling technique used is the total sampling with a sample amount of 62 nurses. The instrument used an observation sheet related to nurse compliance in the used of PPE (Handscoon, mask, hand washing and medical and non medical waste disposal). The results showed that most respondents had a good level of compliance with the results of 39 nurses (62.9%), while poor compliance had a result of 23 nurses (37.1). The researcher suggested the hospital to enhance the implementation of PPE in pediatric ward. Keyword :Compliance with the PPE, PPE in pediatric ward. Bibliograpy :41 (2005-2016)
