Abstract

Taman Hutan Raya (Tahura) K.G.P.A.A. Mangkunagoro I menurut PP No. 108/2015 pasal 36 ayat (1) merupakan Kawasan Pelestarian Alam yang dapat dimanfaatkan salah satunya untuk pendidikan dan peningkatan kesadartahuan konservasi. Koleksi berbagai tumbuhan yang terdapat di Blok Pemanfaatan merupakan potensi bahan peraga dan materi pendidikan konservasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis potensi keanekaragaman hayati tumbuhan, respon pengunjung, dan strategi untuk pengembangan kegiatan pendidikan konservasi di Tahura. Data potensi tumbuhan diperoleh melalui inventarisasi dan identifikasi dengan buku panduan dan/atau herbarium. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis vegetasi dengan metode petak dalam jalur dan analisis status yaitu mencocokkan dengan daftar di IUCN Red List, CITES, dan P.106/2018, sedangkan keendemikan tanaman dilakukan dengan studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 355 jenis tumbuhan yang terdiri atas 7 taman tematik: 115 jenis, 50 famili tumbuhan berkayu; 59 jenis, 1 famili anggrek; 12 jenis, 8 famili liana; 53 jenis, 14 famili paku; 15 jenis, 1 famili palem; 19 jenis, 1 famili talas; dan 82 jenis, 47 famili tanaman obat. Status konservasi dalam IUCN Red List sejumlah 54 jenis, Appendiks CITES: 10 jenis, dan P.106/2018: 2 jenis. Tanaman endemik terdiri dari 13 jenis. Analisis vegetasi menunjukkan blok pemanfaatan pada tingkat pohon didominasi Pinus merkusii dengan INP 287,10% dan tingkat keanekaragamannya rendah. Alternatif strategi untuk pengembangan pendidikan konservasi yaitu: 1) memanfaatkan potensi kenaekaragaman hayati dan potensi fisik; 2) membangun kerjasama di antara stakeholders; 3) meningkatkan kapasitas SDM pengelola; 4) menggandeng investor dan dukungan dana dari berbagai pihak; 5) melakukan publikasi dan promosi wisata; 6) perlindungan dan pengamanan kawasan hutan dan penyuluhan; 7) pengkayaan jenis wisata. Kata kunci: potensi tumbuhan, keanekaragaman hayati, pendidikan konservasi, Tahura K.G.P.A.A. Mangkunagoro I Forest Park (Tahura) of K.G.P.A.A. Mangkunagoro I –according to Government Regulation No. 108/2015 Article 36 Paragraph 1, has been set as Nature Conservation Area. Aside projected to protect the biodiversity, this also can be used for education and awareness-increased of conservation since the diverse plant's collection is potential teaching-materials. This study aims to analyze the plant biodiversity, identify the visitor’s response, and develop a strategy for conservational education notably in the utilization zone of Tahura. Inventarisation on the plants was conducted to collect the plant species through herbarium within the sampling plot established along the track. The further step was vegetation analysis to identify the species. This was focusing on the species name and species status based on guide book, IUCN Red List, CITES, and Regulation of Ministry of Environment and Forestry P.106/2018. The endemism of plants was also done by the study of literature. As the result, there are 355 plant species of 7 thematic plants such as 155 species of 50 woody plant families, 59 species of 1 orchid (Orchidaceae) family, 12 species of 8 liana families, 53 species of 14 fern families, 1 palm (Arecaceae) family, 19 species of 1 taro (Araceae) family, and 47 families of medicinal plants. In terms of species status, there are 54 species listed as conservation status based on IUCN Red List, 10 species listed on CITES Appendix, and 2 species listed on P.106/2018 as well as 13 species identified as endemic plants. However, the result shows that the utilization zone is dominated by Pinus merkusii on important value index of 287,10% with low diversity. Thus, the alternative strategies must consider: 1) the optimum utilization of biodiversity and physical potential; 2) the improvement of stakeholder networking; 3) the building of human resources capacity within the management; 4) the investment opportunities; 5) tourism publication, advertisement, and promotion; 6) The forest protection and security as well as counseling; 7) the improvement of tourism programs.
