Analisis Cacat Atribut Film Jenis NNA dengan Menggunakan Metode Pengandalian Kualitas Six Sigma (Studi kasus pada PT.Polidayaguna Perkasa)

Abstract

Produk BOPP film memiliki manfaat penting dalam kehidupan kita. Penggunaan BOPP film juga cukup tinggi untuk memenuhi kebutuhan manusia. PT.POLIDAYAGUNA PERKASA merupakan salah satu produsen BOPP film yang memproduksi 3 produk BOPP film yang utama, yaitu jenis NNA, NST dan NSP dengan sistem produksi make to order. Dari ketiga jenis produk utama yang ditawarkan, produk NNA memiliki peminat yang lebih banyak yaitu sebesar 77% berdasarkan data pesanan bulan Januari-September tahun 2007. Meski produk NNA menjadi andalan, namun produk ini memiliki tingkat ketidaksesuaian NNA cukup tinggi (waste second grade sebesar 6.984 Kg pada tahun 2007), hal ini dinilai merugikan perusahaan karena produk second grade mempunyai harga yang lebih murah 10% dari harga film berkualitas. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, perusahaan dapat menerapkan salah satu filosofi peningkatan kualitas yaitu filosofi six sigma, dimana hanya akan terjadi 3,4 kegagalan dari satu juta kemungkinan untuk mencapai kualitas tingkat dunia. Analisa kualitas dengan metode six sigma dilakukan melalui tahap DMAIC (Define Measure Analyze Improve and Control). Secara mum tahap define dilakukan untuk mengetahui kriteria kualitas yang dibutuhkan pelanggan, mengetahui ketidaksesuaian yang terjadi, dan mengidentifikasi urutan proses produksi yang dilalui sebuah produk. Sedangkan tahap measure dilakukan untuk menentukan CTQ serta mengukur besar CTQ. Pada tahap analyze dapat diketahui baseline kinerja, selain itu juga dapat dianalisis tingkat sigma dan nilai DPMO dari kemampuan proses perusahaan saat ini. Tahap analyze juga menentukan target sigma yang harus dicapai oleh perusahaan serta mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor penyebab yang mempengaruhi terjadinya CTQ pada produk BOPP Film NNA. Setelah menganalisa beberapa faktor penyebab, maka dapat dilakukan beberapa usulan perbaikan yang ada pada tahap improve. Perbaikan dilakukan agar perusahaan dapat memperbaiki kualitas proses yang akan mengimbas pada perbaikan kualitas produk, sehingga perusahaan dapat mencapai target sigma syang direncanakan dan mengurangi DPMO. Bila perbaikan dan kontrol kualitas dilakukan secara sungguh-sungguh dan kontinyu, maka perusahaan akan mendapatkan kepercayaan dari pelanggan untuk memproduksi produk BOPP film yang berkualitas. PT POLIDAYAGUNAPERKASA is one of BOPP film producer which produces 3 main products of BOPP film, they are NNA, NST and NSP by using the production system make to order. Among these products, NNA is the most favorite, it is 77% based on order data in January-September 2007. Although NNA is the main product, but it has a high improper of NNA (waste second grade of 6,984 kg in 2007), therefore the company will get loss because second grade product is 10% cheaper than a qualified film price. The company can apply a philosophy of quality improvement in order to solve this problem, it is known as six sigma philosophy, it states that there will be 3.4 failure of one million possibilities to attain world class quality. Analysis of quality with six sigma method is conducted in DMAIC (Define Measure Analyze Improve and Control) stage. Define stage in general conducted to know the criteria of quality which is necessary for customers, to know the improper which occurs, and to identify the sequence of production processes made by a product. Measure stage is conducted to determine and measure CTQ. The performance baseline can be known in analyze stage, besides it is able to analyze the sigma level and DPMO value of the current ability in the process of company. Analyze stage is to determine sigma target which should be attained by the company and also to identify the causal factors which influence CTQ and the product of BOPP Film of NNA. After analyzing some causal factors, then it may conduct some recovery suggestion which is available in improve stage. Recovery made in order to repair the quality of process in company which later it will impact the repair of product quality, therefore the company will be able to attain the sigma target which is planned and it decreases DPMO. If the repair and quality control made seriously and continuously, hence the company will get reliance among the customers to produce the product of qualified BOPP film.
