DIVERSITAS GENDER, DIVERSITAS KEBANGSAAN, KEAHLIAN DEWAN KOMISARIS, DAN KINERJA LINGKUNGAN PERUSAHAAN (Studi Empiris pada Perusahaan yang Memperoleh Peringkat PROPER dan terdaftar di BEI tahun 2016-2017)

Abstract

This study aims to obtain empirical evidence and analyze the factors that are believed to affect the corporate environmental performance. These factors include Board of Commissioners’ gender diversity , Board of Commissioners’ nationality diversity, and Board of Commissioners’ expertise. Firm size and profitability used as control variables in this study. The population in this study are companies obtained PROPER and listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2016-2017. The total sample used on this study are 122 companies based on predetermined criteria (purposive sampling). Data was analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and ordinal logistic regression. The findings of this study indicate that Board of Commissioners’ gender diversity has positive and significant effect on corporate environmental performance. There is no significant effect of Board of Commissioners’ nationality diversity and Board of Commissioners’ expertise on the corporate environmental performance. Firm size and profitability as control variables have positive and significant effect on corporate environmental performance.
