FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI MINAT TENAGA KERJA INDONESIA UNTUK BEKERJA KE LUAR NEGERI (STUDI KASUS : KABUPATEN KENDAL)

Abstract

Kendal is one of the largest areas for sending indonesian laborers in 20112016 period.This study aims to analyze the factors that affect the readability of labor to work abroad (case: The Regency of Kendal). The large number of workers in Kendal district that have not been accomodated by employment causes them to seek employment opportunities abroad. The method of determining the sample in this study used convenience sample. While the analysis method is using binary logistics regression model. By using primary data from 100 respondents. To achive these objectives, independent variables used include age, gender,martial status, number of dependents, education and occupation of respondents in the regions of origin, whereas the dependent variable is interest in working. Data analysis using regression logistics model shows the variables that affect the interest of labor to work abroad is the variables of Age (0.001) and the coefficient (-0.152) it menas negative and significant that affect of labor to working abroad. Variable occupation of respondents in the region of origin (0.003) and the coefficient (0.618), variable of education ((0.012) and the coefficient (-0.277) and variable of income (0.037) dan the coefficient (0.000). Variables of gender (0.241) and the coefficient 0.754 it means positif and not significant whereas the gender that not affect of labor to working abroad. The result shows that the woman have more interest to working abroad. Andias (2014) said that this happend because the large number of demand worker in household abroad. The real situation shows that the gender of labor to working abroad because they want to help the economics of their family. Variabel martial status (0.118) and the coefficient 1.091 it means positif and not significants,whereas the respondents who was getting married or not have no affect to working abroad The results of this study indicate that the interest of people in Kendal Regency to work abroad is high. With the number of respondents 100, 72 people are interested in going abroad by the reason of finding a job in their own area is difficult. 28 people were not interested in working abroad, because they couldn’t be far from their family.
