Abstract
Department of Nursing Faculty of Medicine Diponegoro University June, 2019 ABSTRACT Khoirun Nisa Description of Stres Levels in Post-Stroke Patients li + 76 Pages + 9 Tables + 1 Picture + 11 Attachment Stroke is a disease that can cause nerve damage where nerve damage causes the patient to experience disorders, such as losing emotional control. Emotional control difficulties make sufferers easily feel scared, anxious, angry, and sad that can cause stress. The aim of this study was to describe stress levels in post-stroke patients. This study uses quantitative descriptive research. The sampling technique based on probability sampling is a simple random sampling technique involving 62 post-stroke patients. The design of this study used a descriptive survey design with a cross-sectional approach. Data was collected using Stress Questionnaire on Stroke. The results of this study were 37 respondents (59.7%) mild stress, 23 respondents (37.1%) moderate stress, 2 respondents (3.2%) had severe stress. Physical domain with two items of questions most patients answered never and sometimes that showed mild stress. The conclusion of this study is that post-stroke patients experience mild stress. It is recommended for patients to improve their stress management so that stress can lost or not increase and be at risk of recurrent strokes.
