Abstract

Early Teenagers need to know the information or insight about menarche, one of them is perineal hygiene. Medical and nursing science perineal need to be used to avoid the risk that comes up.Early teenagers who have not menstruated yet can be influenced by knowledges in keeping and protecting their genitalia.This study is aimed at finding out early teenagers' insight about perineal hygene in dealing with menarche. This research is a descriptive qualitative study by using survey method. The researcher used total sampling to collect the data with number of 117 elementary students grade IV (four) and V (five) who have not menstruated yet before. The questionnaire content is about the use of underwear, towel, sanitary napskin, scissor in cutting pubic hair, external genitals cleanliness, and inserting something into vagina. The result shows that most of the respondents have not obtained the information yet about reproduction health. The number of 83 respondent (70,9%). They get little bit information from their family. Beside that ealy teenagers' insight about perineal hygiene in avoiding menarche 75 low respondents (64,1%), 39 mediate respondents (33,3%), and 2 good respondents category (2,6%). According to the result above, the reseacher concludes that overall the early teenagers who have not menstruated yet do not know about perineal hygiene. It is caused of lack of understanding about the information related to perineal hygiene. In additional the need of the information should be given to the ealry teenagers in keeping clean perineal.
