TRANSFORMASI NOVEL REFRAIN KARYA WINNA EFENDI KE FILM REFRAIN KARYA FAJAR NUGROS SEBUAH KAJIAN EKRANISASI

Film Refrain is one of the films by Fajar Nugros which was adapted from a popular novel with same title by Winna Efendi. Refrain novels and films tell the lives of teenagers who are close to friendship and conflict about love. The study intended to identify structural changes that occurred in the novel Refrain to Refrain films. The results of the identification of the structure will be used as a formula for formulating subtraction, additions, and varied changes made to the characters, settings, and settings of the novel Refrain to the film Refrain. This research can be used as a reference material in understanding and interpreting the process of ekranisasi that occurs in Indonesian novels and films. In this study, the authors made comparisons between elements that construct novel (structural) and elements that build films (narrative structure of cinema). This is done by collecting data using the note-taking technique. After comparing, the ecranisation process of the novel into the film will cause changes in the form of subtracting, adding, and varying changes to the structure of the work. The results of the analysis carried out indicate a change, subtractions and additions related to the plot, character and characterization. Even though the process of the novel's expansions to the film Refrain does not change the core of the story but gives its own interest to the audience. This can be seen from the best-seller label carried by the novel does not affect the number of viewers in this film. Keywords: Ecranization. Subtractions. Additions. Variations Changes.
