HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN KELUARGA DAN PERILAKU KELUARGA PADA PENANGANAN AWAL KEJADIAN STROKE

Abstract

Quick and precise handling of stroke can reduce mortality and risk of disability. This is supported by the knowledge of risk factors and early symptoms of stroke.This Research aims to determine the relationship between family knowledge and family behavior in the initial handling of stroke events.This research uses correlational descriptive design with cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique uses Non Probability Sampling type Accidental Sampling. The research was held at RSUD K.R.M. T Wongsonegoro Semarang in May 2019. The respondents Researched were 77 people, namely the family of patients during the stroke. For a knowledge questionnaire consists of 30 questions while a behavioral questionnaire 9 questions.The result of bivariate analysis indicates there is a relationship between family knowledge and family behavior with the value P = 0.000 and r = 0.839.The conclusion of this research is there ia a relationship between knowledge and behavior with correlation power between the two strong variables and indicate the direction of positive correlation where the higher the knowledge then the better the Family behavior. Nursing intervention to increase knowledge about the risk factors and early symptoms of stroke and management at home when attacks need to be developed
