Abstract

nurse workload is a condition in which a nurse is obliged to provide care within a certain period or each shift as meeting the needs of clients and families. The purpose of the study was to determine the description of the workload of nurses in class III inpatient rooms. The research design is descriptive observasional. Respondents in this study were nurses as many as 60 nurses.. The sample is obtained by simple random sampling technique. Data collection tools in the form of observation sheets and stopwatch. The results showed that the productive workload in the morning shift was 78.16 %, afternoon shift 77,2% and night shift 53,73% and the remaining time was used for non-produktive activities. therefore revision is needed, so that it can determine the appropriate nursing metode for the team leader to be able to determine work time according to the level patient dependence
