Abstract

An Overview of the Primary Dysmenorrhea Toward in the Female Student of MAN 1 Sragen xvii + 62 Pages + 8 Tables + 11 Attachment ABSTRACT Background: Dysmenorrhea is a condition of pain during menstruation, usually centered on the lower abdomen. Primary dysmenorrhea is pain that occurs with a normal pelvic anatomy. Pain in primary dysmenorrhea and other systemic symptoms caused by high levels of prostaglandin. Primary dysmenorrhea is characterized by cramps, and back pain. The impact of this on adolescent girls is one of them can get daily activities. Objective: This study aims to describe the incidence of primary dysmenorrhea in students at MAN 1 Sragen. Methods: The type of this study was descriptive with a cross-sectional design, using a questionnaire on the incidence of dysmenorrhea. The population in this study was grade XI students of MAN 1 Sragen. The research sample was 143 students using purposive sampling technique. Results: The results of the study obtained 143 respondents experiencing primary dysmenorrhea, 95.8% experienced lower abdominal pain with the accompanying symptoms which were most felt to be weak or weak as much as 79.7%. Respondents who had other diseases such as stomach, typhus and anemia were 41.3%, while the family history of the respondents who also experienced dysmenorrhea was 41.3%.
