Abstract

The aim of the research was to determine the effect of R. oryzae or C. crassa to the population of bacteria in the ileum of broiler chicken reared in heat stress condition. The material used was 192 day old chicks (DOC) broiler males with average of initial weight of 47.3 ± 0.80 g. The experiment used was completely randomized design, which consists of 6 treatments with 4 replicates, each replicate comprising 8 broiler chickens.Treatment ration consist of T0 as control (temperature of 28 ± 2° C without supplements), T1 (temperature of 35 ± 2° C without supplements), T2 (temperature of 35 ± 2° C with supplement anti-stress), T3 (temperature of 35 ± 2° C with R. oryzae), T4 (temperature of 35 ± 2° C with C. crassa), and T5 (temperature of 35 ± 2° C with rice brand). The parameter observed were total bacteria, entrobacteriaceae, and lactic acid bacteria. The result showed that there was no influence among treatments (P> 0.05) to total bacteria and lactic acid bacteria, but treatments significantly (P <0.05) to Enterobacteriaceae. The conclusion of the research is heat stress can increase Enterobacteriaceae and R. oryzae and C. crassa didn‘t change the total bacteria, Enterobacteriaceae and lactic acid bacteria of broiler chicken chicken reared in heat stress condition. Keyword: R. oryzae, C. crassa, total bacteria, Enterobacteriaceae, lactic acid bacteria
