Abstract

Schizophrenia patient is not only have psychological disorder but also physical and social disorder, likewise a syndrome marked with strange sensory beliefs and experiences, withdrawal and social environment, limited or inappropriate emotional expressions, and unorganized or catatonic behavior. This study has a purpose to explain the description of the level of loneliness in schizophrenia patient. This study is a quantitative non-experimental research that uses descriptive survey method. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling is a sampling techniques with accidental meetings and can be sampled objects according to predetermined characteristics that involving a sample of 132 schizophrenia patient are in accordance with the criteria for exclusion and exclusion. The study uses the UCLA Scale Version 3d questionnaire with 20 questions, which is positive questions and negative questions and analyzed using univariate analysis. The results of this study show that 55.3% of patient with schizophrenia experiences low loneliness with early adulthood 40.1%, men 40.1%, unmarried 32.0%, graduating high school 20.0%, not working 32.0%, Islam 52.2%, living with a family of 50.0%, having no history of illness in the family of 45.0%, and having no traumatic experience of 35.0%, unspecified schizophrenia of 37.1% and the main diagnosis is violent behavior that is 47.1%. The next researcher can research the factors that influence loneliness and interventions that can be used to increase loneliness in a schizophrenia patient.
