PERLAWANAN PEREMPUAN TOMBOI TERHADAP STEREOTIP PEREMPUAN IDEAL: KAJIAN FEMINISME EKSISTENSIALIS TERHADAP NOVEL THE TOMBOY TEACHER KARYA MADAME LEA

Minithesis of Bachelor of Indonesian literature. Faculty of Humanities Diponegoro University, Semarang. Advisor I Drs. Mulyo Hadi P., Hum, Advisor II Fajrul Falah, S. Hum., M. Hum. Object in this study is novel The Tomboy Teacher by Madame Lea. The teory used is structural theory to know theme, character and characterization, and existentialist feminist theory of Simone De Beauvior as the main basis to know a woman’s existence in the main character. The problem that will be studied is how the main character is willing to lift her existence as a tomboy woman with various obstacles faced. Despite having a tomboy style, Lea is able to exist and achieve success. The method used in this research is by by unit story content theory, structural, collecting qualitative data, and using approachment of science of feminism literature. The result of this study indicated that the main character on novel TTT is a woman named Lea and also has additional characters those are Arka, Maura, Netta, Tian, Danish, Erick, Febri, Hana, Nathan, Antariksa, and Innaka. Lea is able to achieve her exsistence as a woman by performing four transcendences those are, Intellectual Woman, Working Woman, Working to Achieve Sosial Transformation, Woman Becoming Subject and Rejecting being the other and also get recogniction from the Self over the achievement of the exsistence of the other. Lea proves that even though she is being harassed as a tomboy woman but she is capable to undermine the stereotypes of people even get married and still working.
