HUBUNGAN BEBERAPA KARAKTERISTIK PEKERJA DAN PEKERJAAN DENGAN INSIDEN PENYAKIT SALURAN PERNAPASAN PEKERJA PETERNAKAN AYAM PETELUR (STUDI KASUS DI KELURAHAN UMBUL HARJO,KECAMATAN CANGKIRAN KABUPATEN SLEMAN,YOGYAKARTA)

Abstract

Kasus penyakit saluran pernapasan merupakan kasus tertinggi menyerang manusia yang tercatat di Kabupaten Sleman. Penyakit saluran pernapasan sangat dipengaruhi oleh kondisi lingkungan dan udara bersih. Lingkungan kandang ayam adalah salah satu lokasi yang dapat menghasilkan limbah bahan pencemar sebagai produk sampingannya. Limbah ini dapat menjadi penyebab sumber gangguan kesehatan bagi manusia khususnya pekerjanya. Pekerja kandang ayam setiap hari melakukan aktifitas rutin didalam kandang ayam. Saluran pernapasan yang merupakan organ penting dalam proses pernapasan terkena dampak negatifoleh limbah tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan dan menganalisa hubungan antara beberapa karakteristik pekerja dengan insiden penyakit saluran napas pekerja. Penelitian ini dilakukan di wilayah kelurahan Umbulharjo,Kecamatan Cangkiran Kabupaten Sleman Yogyakarta. Pada lokasi ini terdapat 32-36% populasi ayam petelur di Kabupaten Sleman dan terdapat 33,83% pekerja kandang ayam petelur Kabupaten Sleman. Waktu penelitian pada bulan Maret-Juli 2005. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian Explanatory Research dengan pendekatan penelitian adalah Cross Sectional. Jumlah sampel yang diambil adalah 66 orang pekerja kandang ayam yang bertugassebagai perawat ayamdengan cara Random Sampling. Analis data menggunakan program SPSS for Windows versi 13.0. Analisa univariat dengan distribusi frekuensi dan analisa bivariat dengan menggunakan uji Chi-Square. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan,bahwa fariabel menggunakan masker oleh pekerja berhubungan dengan insiden penyakit saluran pernapasan pekerja kandang ayam petelur(p=0,004;alfa=0,05). Disarankan pada pekerja untuk mengguanak masker penutup mulut dan hidung saat bekerja didalam lingkungan kandang ayam. Rotasi kerja pada pekerja yang sering sakit pernapasan. Kata Kunci: kandang ayam petelur,insiden penyakit saluran napas THE ASSOCIATION BETWEEN THE WORKERS CHARACTERISTICS AND THE INCIDENT OF RESPIRATORY TRACK DISEASE AMONG THE CHICKEN COOP WORKERS(CASESTUDY IN UMBULHARJO DISTRICT,CANGKIRAN SLEMAN YOGYAKARTA) In Sleman resident,it is recorded that the case of rispiratory tract disease was the highest case the attact people. The environmental condition and the clean air influenced respiratory tract disease. The poultry husbandry is of one the location that produce compost heap,the pollutant material as the side product. This compost heap can be the factor that trigs health problem for human,especially among the workers.Each day,the poultry husbandry workers to their routine activity in the chicken coop. The rispiratory tract,which is an important organ for the respiration process,gains the negative effect that come from the compost heap. The aim of this research is to describe and analyze the relation between the workers characteristic with the incident of risperatory tract diseas among the workers. This research taken place in Umbulharjo district,Cangkiran,Sleman,Yogyakarta.In this location we found 32-36% population of poultry husbandry and 33,83% poultry husbandry workers in Sleman resident. The research held during March-Juli 29,2005. This research is an Explanatory Research with cross sectional approach.The number of responden taken by using Random Sampling method from 66 poultry husbandry workers,which have ajob to take care the chikens. The data analyze uses the SPSS for Windows verse 13.0. The univariat analysis use the distribution frequentation and bivariat analysis use the Chi-Square test.
