Abstract
One of the impacts of economic development is the increase of vehicles. The residual smoke from industrial processes and vehicle (emissions) is a source of pollution resulting in the decrease of air quality and negative impact on health. This emissions contains PM2.5 and Black Carbon. PM2,5 can cause respiratory problems, chronic respiratory diseases such as cardiovascular and lung cancer. Black Carbon is a global environment problem, influencing in climate change, changes in rainfall intensity, and cause negative effects on health such as lung and cardiovascular damage, cancer, even birth defects (US EPA, 2013). Risk analysis is needed to estimate health problems that can occur. The risk analysis in this study was carried out in five regional district in Semarang, that is Tugu District, South Semarang District, Pedurungan District, Banyumanik District, and Gunungpati District, by using AirQ+ models. AirQ+ is used to measure the effects of exposure to air pollution on health. The results showed that the concentration of PM2.5 was equal to 23, 29, 38, 72, 41 µg/m3 with the level of risk of 1,58%, 2,3%, 3,37%, 7,3%, 3,72% for Mortality all (natural) causes for PM2.5. For Black Carbon, the concentration of each is equal to 2,42, 3,68, 4,34, 4,29, 4,75 µg/m3 with the level of risk equal to 3,94%, 8,37%, 8,32%, 0%, 9,27% for Mortality all (natural) causes. Therefore, it takes the community to carry out some preventive efforts to improve the quality of their health by reducing air pollution. Keywords: PM2,5, Black Carbon, AirQ+
