STUDI FENOMENOLOGI TENTANG PERILAKU KONSUMSI ROKOK DI KALANGAN SEBAGIAN ULAMA DI KOTA SEMARANG

Abstract

An ulama who understands the teachings of Islam should know the harm of cigarettes. However, among some ulama chose to keep consume cigarettes. This study aims to find the cause of among of them still smoking. The method used in this study is phenomenology with the Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) approach. Methodology IPA can find out the meaning of the experience of ulama who smoke. This method is carried out by conducting in-depth interviews and analyzed through stages that are in accordance with the guidelines of this method. The subjects used were 5 ulama from various pesantren in the Meteseh and Ketileng areas with predetermined criteria. The result of this study shows that the reasons for some ulama decide smoking are the social environment, satisfaction in consuming cigarettes, addictive smoking habits, and self confidence.
