REGISTER DALAM TRANSPORTASI BUS RAPID TRANSIT (BRT) DI KOTA SEMARANG (KORIDOR III, IV, DAN VI) : KAJIAN SOSIOLINGUISTIK

Abstract

Language as a communication tool has two main characteristics, namely language used in the process of transmitting messages and language is a code used in wider communication. In connection with these characteristics, the use of language in people's lives is very varied, because language is not only determined by linguistic factors but also determined by non-political factors, one of which is a register. Register is a variation of language used based on the fields of use, style, or level of formality, and means of use. The research objective of the Language Register in Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Transportation in Semarang City (Corridor III, IV, and VI) is to explain the form of registers that transport BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) buses and explain the BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) and explain the factors behind the use of registers in the BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) crew. This thesis applies a sociolinguistic approach. Research data is in the form of informants and events or activities. Provision of data using the listening method with tapping techniques, listening skillfully, recording, and recording. Data analysis using descriptive -qualitative method, then the discussion is presented informally. The results of this discussion conclude that registers in Bus Rapid Transit transportation are found in the form of transportation language registers are informal by using Indonesian and regional languages often used by the community to interact everyday. The function of transportation registers found in Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Trans Semarang is the instrumental function used for route offers, appeals, speech strokes, warnings, and to give orders. In addition to instrumental functions, interaction functions, personality/ personal, information, and regulatory functions. The function of this transport register is used to facilitate communication between the BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) crew. The factors behind the form of the register are the situation, participant, purpose, form or content of the message, key, instrument of language path, and norm.
