Abstract
Sosial violence in Randu village was spontaneous done by the villagers. However, it is obviously seen that the competition to dominate forest production has triggered the violence itself. Those who involved in the anarchy are uneducated villagers with low income. Therefore, they relyity often resulted in dangeraous situation therefore, they tried to lessen the distress feeling by consuming ciu (alcoholic beverage). They also consumed it when they had a party or social gathering. This often trigger in-grou sentiment for the out-group which finally end up in fighting
