Abstract

A research on the corona plasma at atmospheric pressure has been carried out. In this study, the mobility of ions Ar +, OH-, H +, CO2 -. is determined. Positive corona plasma is generated using a DC voltage source, and configuration of the electrodes is field point electrodes (hyperbolic). The results of the experiment show that the corona current (often called ion wind current) is proportional to V2 in accordance with both analytical calculation by Robinson for common approaches and calculations by Choelo for hyperbolic-field approach. Ion mobility is determined using Choelo formulation the results of the determination of mobility using experimental data of currents and voltages, and the formulation Choelo are proved very close to the ion mobility obtained by time of flight method with a parallel field electrodes Keywords: possitive corona plasma, ion mobility, field point electrode
