Abstract

ABSTRAK Penggunaan Kembali Air Limbah Proses Industri Tekstil yang Mengandung TSS sebagai Umpan Wet Scrubber dalam Penyisihan Partikulat Elliyana, Sudarno, Haryono S. Huboyo Secara global kegiatan operasional industri berkontribusi besar dalam menghasilkan polusi udara berupa partikulat. Upaya penurunan jumlah partikulat dapat dilakukan menggunakan alat wet scrubber dengan limbah cair tekstil sebagai umpan dalam penyisihannya. Metode penelitian terjadi secara berlawanan arah antara aliran gas buang dengan cairan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan semakin besar laju alir (flow rate) air limbah yang dialirkan maka semakin tinggi efisiensi penyisihan partikulat. Laju alir (flow rate) optimum dalam penyisihan partikulat berada pada laju alir (flow rate) 10 liter/menit dengan efisiensi penyisihan tertinggi sebesar 91,29%. Pada bagian oulet scrubbing liquid terjadi peningkatan konsentrasi TSS tertinggi sebesar 71 % setelah dikontakkan dengan emisi pembakaran batubara. Kata kunci: partikulat, wet scrubber, limbah cair tekstil, laju alir, TSS ABSTRACT Reuse of Wastewater Treatment Processes that Contains TSS in Textile Industrial as Wet Scrubber Feed in Particulate Removal Elliyana, Sudarno, Haryono S. Huboyo Globally, industrial operations have a major contribution in producing air pollution in form of particulates. Efforts to reduce the number of particulates could be done by using wet scrubber with textile wastewater as a feed in the removal. The research conducted in the counter-current between the exhaust gas flow and liquid. This research results that the greatest flow rate of the wastewater flowed, the highest efficiency of particulate removal. The optimum flow rate in particulate removal is flow rate of 10 liters / minute with the highest removal efficiency was 91,29 %. At the outlet of scrubbing liquid, the highest TSS concentration increase was 71 % after being contacted with coal combustion emissions.
