Abstract
THE INFLUENCE OF LOW CHILL TEMPERATURE IN COLD STORAGE TO BLOOD PRESSURE ON WORKERS The temperature in cold storage reach - 18 C until - 25 C, those temperature was under worker's comfort temperature in Indonesia ( 24 C until 26 C) and it's under the occupational safety and health standards set to temperature of - 10 C until - 15 C. Research target was to know differences of worker's blood pressure before and after exposure to cold on worker's whose work in cold storage. The type of research was observational with the cross sectional approach. Population in this research was entire men worker's in cold storage, as much as 20 people from two company there is 11 people from frozen shrimp company and 9 people from frozen crabs company. The sample in this research was using purposive sample, to amount to 14 people. Health parameters investigated are systolic, diastolic and average artery blood pressure, while environment parameter invetigated are temperature in cold storage. Analysis with computer program with signification level to accept Ho is < 0,05. Base on normality data test useing Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, known normal distribution data, so analysis using t-test. From the result of t-test we can fine that p value > 0,05, it means Ho was rejected, there's no differences of worker's blood pressure before and after exposure to cold on worker's whose work in cold storage.
