Abstract

Overview of Occupational Accidents in Health Workers of Tugurejo Hospital in Semarang. Ix + 61 pages + 14 tables + 2 images + 10 Appendix Occupational accidents to health workers are an unexpected event by health workers. This is caused by something outside the planning process that causes interference. Each type of health worker experiences a different incidence of occupational accidents. The purpose of this study is to describe the insidence of occupational accidents in health workers of Tugurejo Hospital. This study is a descriptive study with survey approach. The sample size in the study was 277 health workers using Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique. The data were taken using questionnaires, analyzed by univariate analyzing, and served with a frequency distribution table. Research result obtained the often accident experiences by doctor was skin contact with blood or other body fluids 21 orang (65,6%), By Nurse was skin contact with blood or other body fluids 126 person (69,6%), By Pharmacist is slipping and falling 9 person (52,9%), by public health workers was cutting with sharp pointed objects 3 person (60%), By nutrisionist is skin contact with blood or other body fluids 1 person (20%), by medical therapy workers was traumatic backpain due to patient’s repositioning 4 person (100%), and by medical technicality was skin contact with blood or other body fluids 14 person (48,3%). The Suggestions were hospital need to increase data collection and management system of occupational accidents events so the incidance can be prevented.
