Abstract

Besi dan seng adalah zat gizi mikro yang penting bagi manusia, namun beberapa hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada efek negatif terhadap absorpsi seng bila besi dan seng diberikan bersamaan. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui cara suplementasi besi dan seng terhadap kadar hemoglobin pada siswa sekolah dasar Kecamatan Gemolong Kabupeten Sragen. Metode penelitian ini adalah Kuasi Eksperimen dengan rancangan pretest-posttest group design. Populasi penelitiannya yaitu siswa kelas IV dan V SD Negeri Kwangen 1 dan SD Negeri Tegaldowo 1 kecamatan Gemolong Kabupaten Sragen. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 72 siswa dibagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu kelompok pertama pemberian tablet besi dan seng secara bersamaan dan kelompok kedua yaitu pemberian besi dan seng secara tidak bersamaan. Tablet besi dan seng ini amsing-masing dengan dosis 10 mg. Tablet seng dibuat oleh bagian Farmasi Fakultas Kedokteran UNDIP sedangkan tablet besi dibuat oleh Sarana Apotek. hasil penelitian menunjukkan rerata selisis kadar hemoglobin sebelum suplemen pada kelompok bersamaan sebesar 13,10 g/dL+0,95 dan pada kelompok tidak bersamaan sebesar 12,43 g/dL+ terdapat berbeda bermakna (p=0,008). Rerata selisis kadar Hb kelompok bersamaan 0,05 g/dL+1,15, sedangkan rerata selisis kadar Hb kelompok tidak bersamaan sebesar 0,85 g/dL+ hasil menunjukkan ada perbedaan bermakna p=0,001 rerata selisih kadar hemoglobin pada kelompok bersamaan dan kelompok tidak bersamaan. saran bagi instansi terkait:perlu adanya pendeteksian kadar hemoglobin pada siswa sekolah dasar supaya prevalensi anemia dapat ditangani secara dini sehingga anemia dapat diturunkan, bagi siswa sekolah dasar yaitu bagi yang menderita anemia kurang zat gizi besi dan seng, sebaiknya lebih meningkatkan konsumsi baik dalam bentuk makanan kaya besi dan seng maupun suplemen. bagi penelitian yaitu agar dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut dengan variabel lain seperti keadaan sosial ekonomi, status gizi, lingkungan dan genetik. Kata Kunci: Suplemen, besi, seng, hemoglobin, siswa, SD THE EFFECT OF IRON AND ZINC SUPLEMENTATION TOWARD HEMOGLOBIN OF ELEMENTARY STUDENTS IN GEMOLONG, SRAGEN REGENCY Iron and Zinc are an important micro nutrition for human health, but the result of the research shown if there were negative effects on zinc absortion if iron and zinc suplemented at the same time. The purpose of the research was to find a way of iron and zinc suplemented toward hemoglobin of elementary students in Gemolong,Sragen regency. The method of the research was Quasi Experiment with Pretest-Posttest Gruop Design. The populations were IV and V grade students of Kwangen 1 and Tegaldowo 1 state elemtary school, Gemolong, Sragen regency. The samples were 72 students divided into two group; the first group was given iron and zinc at different time. The dose of iron and zinc each 10 mg. Zinc tablet made by pharmacy division of faculty of medicine of diponegoro university, while iron tablet made by sarana apotek. The result of the research shown the hemoglobin before suplementation of the first group was 13,10 g/dL+0,95 and the second group was 12,43 g/dL+1,12 there were significant differences (p=0,008). The hemoglobin of the first group (that was given iron and zinc at the same time)was 0,05 g/dL+1,15, while the hemoglobin rate of the second group was 0,85 g/dL+1,01, it shown significant differences on hemoglobin (p=0,001)between the first and the second group. Suggestion for tied institution; it is needed to detect the hemoglobin the elementary students in order to detect the anemia prevalence so it can be cured as early as possible. This will also decrease the number of anemia among the elementary students. Students who suffered from anemia, nutrition disorder, and zinc and iron disordes should consume foods that contain balance zinc and iron or suplement. It is also important to do further research with orher variables such as social aconomic condition, nutrition status, environment and genetic factor.
