Abstract

Work-family enrichment is the conditions of mutual support between roles in family and work. Based on the statements of Greenhaus & Powell, skills or emotions produced in one role, can be applied to other roles (in Shein and Chen, 2011). Work-family enrichment is needed by woman bosses who lives with her husband and children to achieve success in both roles. The aims of this study is to understand woman bosses experience in carrying out roles in the family and role in the company on women bosses in Jabodetabek. The research subjects were three people. Data collection techniques using a purposive method (Herdiansyah, 2012) and data analysis using the IPA (Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis) approach. The results of the study found there are several factors that influence work-family enrichment, (1) individual background, (2) individual personality, (3) woman boss work attitude, and (4) strategies and consequences of interest in entrepreneurship. The benefits of work-family enrichment is satisfaction in actualizing themselves, because they get full support from their husbands in carrying out activities. Three subjects interpret the meaning of work-family enrichment is building religiosity, so they always get blessings from God in family and business. The conception of work-family enrichment in three subjects is the application of financial management, planning strategies, and preparing target achievements in business, transfered to family domain. Besides that, family provides happiness that presents a positive atmosphere and makes the three subjects more efficient in managing both roles.
