HUBUNGAN SETING JPO DENGAN ATRIBUT AKSESIBILITAS DAN PRIVASI Studi Kasus JPO Pasar Karang Ayu Semarang

Abstract

The Karang Ayu market pedestrian bridge is one of crossing facilities for the pedestrian on Jend. Sudirman street Semarang, however this pedestrian street has not been functioned well, and it is assumed that it is caused by the attributes of the bridge users which has not been fulfilled. This research wants to discover the relation between bridge setting with the accessibility and privacy attributes. The method used is qualitative-rationalistic, using statistic descriptive analysis by doing interpretations and meaning of the result on relation from the collected data. From the collected resource, it shows that the demand for achievement of accessibility attribute for the interest over the pedestrian movement has not been well fulfilled, also with the demand on the smoothness of accessibility attribute, topography of accessibility attribute, personal space of privacy attribute, and verbal communication of privacy attribute which has not been fulfilled, thus, users are forced to walk on overpass, and also the high expectation of the users on the optimum function of the overpass. The result of this research shows that there is a connection between overpass setting with the attributes in which the demand of users’ attribute on overpass setting has not been fulfilled that makes the overpass cannot be fully functioned.
