Abstract
ABSTRAK Suatu penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan ampas tahu yang difermentasi dengan oncom (TOAT) terhadap efisiensi penggunaan protein itik tegal jantan umur 1-12 minggu. Materi penelitian adalah 100 ekor itik Tegal jantan umur 1 minggu, bobot badan awal 75,50 + 9,60g. Itik dikandangkan pada kandang litter yang disekat menjadi 25 petak dengan ukuran 90 x 70 x 50 cm3, yang diisi 4 ekor itik sebagai satu satuan percobaan. Bahan pakan yang digunakan adalah pollard, dedak padi, jagung, bungkil kelapa, tepung ikan, meat bone meal (MBM), top mix dan TOAT. Ransum disusun secara iso energi dan iso protein yaitu 22% PK dan 2900 kkal EM/kg untuk periode starter, 18% PK dan 3000 kkal EM/kg untuk periode grower. Rancangan acak lengkap dengan 5 perlakuan yaitu T0 = 0%; T1 = 7,5%; T2 = 10%; T3 = 15%; T4 = 15% TOAT dan ulangan 5 kali. Parameter yang diamati adalah konsumsi protein, retensi nitrogen, rasio efisiensi protein dan net protein utility. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh penggunaan ampas tahu fermentasitidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi protein, REP, dan retensi nitrogen, tetapi berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap NPU. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah ampas tahu fermentasidapat digunakan sebagai bahan pakan penyusun ransum itik Tegal jantan sampai umur 12 minggu hingga 15%. Kata kunci : ampas tahu fermentasi, penggunaan protein, itik Tegal jantan ABSTRACT An experiment was done to study the effect of oncom-fermented tofu by-product (OTBM) on the protein efficiency of 1-12 old male Tegal ducks. Material used are 100 male Tegal duck at 1 week old, with initial body weight was 75.47 + 9.60 g. Feedstuff for ration consisted of yellow corn, rice brand, pollard, fish meal, meat bone meal, coconut cake meal, top mix and OTBM. The diets iso protein and energy, with ME 2900 kcal/kg and protein 22% for stater diet, and EM 3.000 kcal/kg and protein 18% for grower. The experimental design used was completely randomized design with 5 treatment (T0; T1; T2; T3 and T4 are 0; 7.5; 10; 12.5; and 15% OTBM respectively) with 5 replications, and each experimental unit consisted of 4 birds. The variable examined were protein consumption, nitrogen retention, protein efficiency ratio (PER) and net nitrogen utilization (NNU). The data was analyzed by analysis of variance and Duncan's multiple range test at 5%. The result showed that nitrogen consumption, PER and nitrogen retention were not significantly (P>0.05) affected by oncom of tofu by-product. However, NPU was significantly (P<0.05)a effected. The oncom of tofu by-product could be used as a feedstuff of male Tegal duck up to 15% in the ration. Keywords: oncom of tofu by-product, male Tegal duck, protein efficiency
