Abstract

Nowadays, leadership style always exist in the organization’s work enviroment. One of them is the Servant leadership style. Nowadays many organizations have tried to implement leadership concepsts that serve in their operational practics, no exception for PT. AIA Financial Semarang. This organization has the character to serve and patronize the community in order to prosper the community in terms of finnancial and physical needs. This company implement servant leadership from managers to employees whose main goal is to serve the community. The purpose of this study is to find out how far the application of Servant Leadership in organizational life and in the daily life of PT. AIA Financial Semarang and describe the values of Servant Leadership in them. In addition, this research was conducted to provide information for the development of leadership programs at PT. AIA Financial Semarang In this research, qualitative methods were used with a phenomenological research approach, so that researcher has better understanding the life experiences of participants related to the phenomenon of Servant Leadership at PT. AIA Financial Semarang. Data collection is conducted by interviews, observations, and documentation in certain period. Research participants are managers and employees of PT. AIA Financial Semarang. The results of this study indicate that the manager of PT. AIA Financial Semarang has implemented the values of servant leadership properly and has thrived within the managers and employees of PT. AIA Financial Semarang
