Lestari, Hana Putri. “Comparison Receptions of Indonesian Language Teacher and Islamic Education Teachers Against Short Stories "Menyusu Ayah" by Djenar Maesa Ayu (Case Study of Banjar City High School Teachers)”. Thesis S1 Faculty of Humanities Diponegoro University Semarang. Supervisor: Dr. Redyanto Noor, M. Hum and Khothibul Umam, S. S., M.Hum. This research describes the comparison reception of Indonesian Language teachers and Islamic Education teachers to the short stories "Menyusu Ayah" by Djenar Maesa Ayu based on structural aspects, emotional aspects, and expectation horizons. The material object of this study is Indonesian Language teachers and Islamic Education teachers in Banjar city, and selected based on the purposive sampling technique. The data collection methods used the research instrument in the form of a Rien T. Segers questionnaire. Data processing methods use descriptive statistical analysis techniques with Microsoft Excel. Data presentation methods use tabulation methods in the description of research results and qualitative methods in the discussion of research results. The results showed, the understanding of Islamic Education teachers to short stories "Menyusu Ayah" by Djenar Maesa Ayu was higher than Indonesian Language teachers. Islamic Education Teachers excel in understanding structural aspects and emotional aspects, while Indonesian Language teachers only excel in understanding the expectation horizon.
