Abstract

The success of Samsat Kota Semarang II in the receipt of regional income (tax) in the motor vehicle sector is still felt to be lacking, this is based on a decrease in the number of local revenue receipts (taxes) in the motor vehicle sector from 2013-2016. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of organizational communication climate and leadership style on employee performance with organizational culture as an intervening variable in Samsat Kota Semarang II. This quantitative research method uses Structural Theory, Organizational Culture Theory, Theory of Leadership Style and Employee Performance Theory. The research data was collected using a questionnaire on all employees in Samsat Kota Semarang II. The results showed that organizational communication climate has a positive and significant effect on organizational culture, leadership style has a positive but not significant effect on organizational culture, organizational communication climate has a significant effect on employee performance by involving superiors and subordinates in joint decision making, trust given by employers to subordinates, organizational support to employees, attention and desires of members of the organization for high performance, organizational culture in Samsat Kota Semarang II is still running well, this of course affects the increase in employee performance in work, leadership style influences employee performance by involving the role of Situational leadership with Telling Style / Directing, then there is the influence of organizational culture as an intervening variable of the organizational communication climate and leadership style on employee performance and the influence of the ra together between organizational communication climate, organizational culture and leadership style on employee performance in this study. However, the organizational culture provides an effective contribution and a stronger influence on employee performance in Samsat Kota Semarang II than the organizational communication climate and leadership style. The contribution of this research is as an evaluation and input material for Samsat Kota Semarang II regarding improving employee performance.
