ABSTRACT Marsal, Briliandi. 2018. “Tindak Tutur Imperatif pada Film Rurouni Kenshin Seri 1-3”. A thesis, Departmen of Japanese Studies, Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University. The Advisor S.I. Trahutami., S.S, M.Hum. In this writing thesis, the writer discuses “Imperative speech act”. The aim of thesis is to explain imperative speech act on Rurouni Kenshin movie part 1-3 and use imperative speech act based on the relationship between participants. The Writer obtained the data from Japanese Movie. The thesis have 3 step. First, collecting data, next step use kontekstual method to explain imperative speech act based the context. The result of thesis use informal method to report the analysis. Based on analysis, the result of this thesis show that have 4 types of Japanese imperative speech act and have 2 types of use japanese imperative speech act based relationship between the participants.
