Abstract
ABSTRACT Yamin, Rahadiyan. 2018. “The Compound Verbs of ~Tsukusu in Japanese Sentences”. Undergraduate Thesis, Japanese Language and Culture Department, Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University. Thesis advisor Elizabeth Ika Hesti ANR, S.S., M. Hum. This paper discusses about “Compound Verbs ~Tsukusu in Japanese Sentences”. The objectives of this research are to describe the structure and the meaning of Japanese compound verbs ~tsukusu and also the similarities and the differences of those two compound verbs. The data being used are obtained from Japanese sites by using literature study. Then, to analyze the structure and the meaning of compound verbs of ~tsukusu distributional method is applied. Based on data analysis, it was concluded that the compound verb ~tsukusu was largely attached to the progressive verb and the stative verb. Volitional verbs and non-volitional verbs can also be attached to compound verbs ~tsukusu. In addition there are several data samples which state that pungtual verbs can be attached to compound verbs ~tsukusu. The compound tsukusu verb has 6 meanings which are divided into 5 meanings which express the perfective aspects, and 1 meaning which states the subject's feelings are confused and unable to move.
