Abstract

ABSTRACT Satriawaka, Akmal. 2018. “Main Character’s Condition of Psychology in Ichi Rittoru No Namida: Study of Psychology”. Thesis, Japanese Literature, Diponegoro University, Semarang. Advisor Fajria Noviana, S.S., M.Hum. The purpose of this study is to describe intrinsic elements of drama and to discover the cause of main character’s psychology changes in Ichi Rittoru No Namida. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive library method. The theories used to analyze the data are Drama Structure theory and Individual Psychology theory. Drama Structure theory is used to analyze the intrinsic elements of drama. While Individual Psychology theory is used to disover the condition and cause of main character’s psychology changes in drama. The result of this research is there are four factors causing the main character in drama chose to keep moving forward and fighting her own disease to become a superior individual that gives influence not only to people in her surrounding, but also people who have similar physical condition. Those factors are her own characteristic, family and friends, compensation of her own weakness, act of ignoring negative gaze around her.
