Abstract

Abstract Fajar Sigit Prihantoro The Descriptions of Clinical Indicator of Medication Administration By Nurses in Tugurejo Hospital Semarang xiv + 66 pages + 5 tables + 6 pictures + 12 appendices Improving drug safety is one component of patient safety. Data at the Sleman Hospital the highest incidence of patient safety is the mistake of administering medication. The application of principle 6 will really affect the success of treatment carried out by nurses. This study aims to describe the application of drug administration in Tugurejo Hospital Semarang. The research method used descriptive survey with cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used was random sampling with a total sample of 141 respondents. The study used a questionnaire developed by researchers and validity and reliability tests were carried out. The results showed that 51.8% of respondents had good drug administration and 48.2% were poor. The results of the analysis of 6 domains of drug administration were 51.8% of respondents had the application of drug administration quite low in the true domain of documentation and 84.4% of respondents had the application of high drugs to the patient's correct domain. This research is expected to be an evaluation material for nurses, especially in the application of the correct principles of documentation and the correct principle of drugs that are not good for nurses can be prevented from giving medication errors to patients.
