GAYA BAHASA DALAM CERPEN AKI NO AME『秋の雨』 KARYA YASUNARI KAWABATA 川端康成が書いた『秋の雨』という短編小説に置けるの修辞技法

Abstract

ABSTRACT Leni, 2018.“Figurative Language of Short Story Aki no Ame Written by Yasunari Kawabta”, Thesis, Japanese Language and Culture, Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University, Semarang. Consultant: Zaki Ainul Fadli, M.Hum. The purpose of this research is to describe the types of figurative language and the function of the usage for each of those figurative language in short story Aki no Ame.　The method of this research is qualitative descriptive library method. The theory that used for analyzing the data is theory of figurative language by Seto Kenichi. This theory was applied to analyze the figurative language in the short story Imogayu. The second theory is the function of the language style by Gorys Keraf. This theory was applied to analyze the function of the usage of language style in this story. The result of this research is there are nine types of figurative language in the Aki no Ame short story; simile, personification, metonimia, meiosis,rhetorical question, implication, repetition, retisense, climax, and allegory. As for the function of the figurative language is to explain, strengthen, make the dead object as if it is alive, and for stimulate the association.
