PERSEPSI IBU HAMIL MENGENAI PERAN KADER KESEHATAN MASYARAKAT DALAM PENDAMPINGAN IBU HAMIL DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS LEBDOSARI

Abstract

Semarang City, which is the capital city of Central Java, placed third with the highest Maternal Mortality Rate in 2016, which is 32 cases of maternal mortality. Efforts to detect risk factors of pregnant women in the community must be carried out by trained personnel, namely cadre. The role of public health cadres who focused on pregnant women was providing assistance to pregnant women during their 9 months of pregnancy until the end of the postpartum period. The purpose of this research was to determine the perception of pregnant women about the function of public health cadres on assisting pregnant women in Lebdosari Public Health Center area. This research method was quantitative research method with descriptive design. Data collection has been done by distributing questionnaires at Lebdosari Public Health Centre and door to door. The results showed that 58.1% of pregnant women had a perception that the role of public health cadres on assisting pregnant women was good and the rest said otherwise. Based on the research results, it may be concluded that according to pregnant women on Lebdosari Public Health Centre area, local cadres have played a good role in assisting pregnant women. For cadres who are still less involved in assisting pregnant women it is advisable to increase their activeness in assisting pregnant women through home visits. Keywords: Health Care, Pregnant Women
