Abstract

Endah Sulistyorini The Descriptions of Clinical Indicator of Nursing Diagnosis (NANDA-I) Acute Pain in Patients at Tugurejo Hospital Semarang xiv + 77 pages + 5 tables + 6 pictures + 14 appendixes Acute pain is the nursing problem most diagnosed by nurses in the hospital. It is important to conduct study on the prevalence of clinical indicators that appear in patients with acute pain based on the characteristics of patients in a region. The purposed of this study was to describe the clinical indicators of nursing diagnoses (NANDA-I) Acute Pain in patients at Tugurejo Hospital Semarang. This research was a quantitative descriptive study with Mnemonics PQRST and observation sheets compiled based on 2015-2017 NANDA-I. The sampling technique used was consecutive sampling with interviews and observations methods on 96 patients diagnosed with acute pain by nurses with inclusion criteria was patients who still had pain complaints. The results of this study indicate that the characteristics of acute pain patients were Provoke: movement (42.7%), Quality: pulsing (43.8%), Region: abdominal cavity (32.3%), Severity: moderate pain (45.8%) , Time: intermitten (71.9%). The most common clinical indicators of acute pain were "distraction behavior" (100%), "glazed eyesight" (94.8%), and "attitude to protect the pain area" (76.0%). This research is expected to be reference for nurses about what clinical indicators that exist in patients with acute pain.
