Abstract

ABSTRACT Heryantie, Devi Idelia. 2018. "Figurative Language, Rethoric Language, and Its Connection on the song lyrics of I Album by Ikimonogakari stylistic studies". A Thesis of Japanese Studies Department, Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University. Thesis supervisor Nur Hastuti, S.S., M.Hum. This thesis discusses about the figurative language, the rethoric language, and its connection between figurative language and rethoric language that exist in I album by Ikimonogakari. The aims of this research are to explain the figurative language, the rethoric language, and its connection language in the lyrics of the songs. The sources of this research are fourteen songs of Ikimonogakari from I album. The method use in this research is literature study. The theory that used are Figurative language and Rethoric Language by Seto Kenichi and Pradopo. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that song lyrics in I Album has 18 figurative language, 16 rethoric language, 7 confirmation connection, and 7 explanation connection .
