Abstract

ABSTRACT Rahman, Desi Ardiana. 2018. “Alih Kode dan Campur Kode pada Drama When You Wish upon a Sakura”. Thesis, Department of Japanese Language and Culture, Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University. The Advisor: Lina Rosliana, S.S., M.Hum. This research discusses about the Japanese dialogue that has undergone code switching and code mixing with Indonesian and English. The data were taken from the drama called When You Wish upon a Sakura which was downloaded from Youtube. The purpose of writing this thesis is to explain how the form and causes of code switching and mixed code in Japanese drama. This research using simak method with catat technique as the method of data retrieval. Padan translasional method with pilah unsur penentu (PUP) technique are used to analyze the data. The results of data analysis are presented by using deskriptif informal method. The result of this research is 100 data were found consisting of 92 code switching data and 8 mixed code data.
