Abstract

Saputri, Dinda. 2018. “Kinship between Mandar, Tolaki, and Muna Languange”. Research Paper. Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University, Semarang. The first supervisor Riris Tiani, S.S., M.Hum. and the second supervisor Drs. Mujid Farihul Amin, M.Pd. The purpose of “Kinship between Mandar, Tolaki, and Muna Languanges” research was to describe sub-grouping kinship and kinship system of Mandar, Tolaki, and Muna languange. Data were collected using referential methods with noted technique. The data obtained as much as 353 vocabularies from the compared regional language dictionary. This research was conducted with sub-grouping method and calculating cognate words technique. Results obtained from calculating cognate words showed that cognate words between Tolaki and Muna language are 141 pairs, Mandar and Tolaki are 124 pairs, and Mandar and Muna are 102 pairs. Sub-grouping Mandar, Tolaki, and Muna languange showed 144 sound change data. Third compared languange showing sound change include: metatesis, aferesis, sinkop, apokop, protesis, epentesis, and paragog. Kinship system between Tolaki and Muna languange reached 41% (family), Mandar and Tolaki language reached 36% (stock), and Mandar and Muna language reached 30% (stock).
