Undergraduate Thesis of Language and Culture of Japanese, Faculty of Humanities, Univercity of Diponegoro Semarang. Mentor Lecturer Laura Andri RM, SS, MA and Yuliani Rahmah, S.Pd, M.Hum. This study uses the object of the study in the form of a novel with the title Tsumuji Daburu. The purpose of this study is to reveal the structural elements or basic elements of story builders in Tsumuji Daburu novel. The method that used in this analysis is descriptive analytical method where the writer collects the theory and data first, after that the writer analyzes structural elements in Tsumuji Daburu's novel. The theory used in this study is structural theory which includes character theory and characterization, mandate, theme, plot, setting and point of view. The research results in this thesis show that there are two main characters in this novel, Yuichi as the main main character and Madoka as the main character aside. The character depiction techniques used are realistic techniques and dramatic techniques which include conversation techniques, other character reaction techniques, mind and feeling techniques. The background in this novel covers place, time and socio-cultural. The flow used is progressive grooves or forward grooves. The point of view used is the perspective of "I" as the main character. The major theme in this novel is a family theme, and the minor theme is friendship. The mandate that can be taken is to respect the decisions of parents, when our parents forbid there must be certain intentions. Besides that the other mandate is to remain compact and help each other when you are in a team or group. Keywords: Novel, structural elements, intrinsic elements.
