Abstract
ABSTRACT Postoperative early mobilization is a gradual return of physiological function that needs to be done to prevent postoperative complications. Self-efficacy is needed to improve early mobilization. High self-efficacy will make someone able to do something even though there are obstacles. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between self-efficacy and early mobilization of major post-surgical patients. This study was a quantitative non-experimental study with the sample size of 62 respondents. Data collection used a research questionnaire of General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSE) and Cumulated Ambulation Afternoon (CAS). The results showed that the average value of the respondent's self-efficacy was 36.56 from a maximum value of 40 and the average value of the respondent's early mobilization was 2.02 from the maximum value of 6. The results of the correlation test showed that there was no significant relationship between self-efficacy and early mobilization (p = 0.172) (r = 0.181). The conclusion of this study is that there is no significant relationship between self-efficacy and early mobilization of major post-surgical patients. Suggestions in research that nurses can be able to provide health education related early postoperative mobilization. Keyword: Self-Efficacy, Early Mobilization, Major Post-Surgical
