Abstract

The productivity of shallot in Grobogan Regency is still low because the use of superior varieties is still limited. The deployment of superior shallot seed technology that profitable is widely unknown to farmers. This research aims to analyze the influence of internal and external factors of onion farmers on decision to adopt the TSS Technology, analyze the adoption rate of TSS Technology, and analyze the influence of internal and external factors of adopter farmers on the components of TSS Technology in Klambu District, Grobogan Regency. The study was conducted in Klambu District, Grobogan Regency from July to August 2017 by interviewing 100 farmers who selected using Multistage Sampling. Data were analyzed using the logistic regression analysis, descriptive analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results showed that farmer's age, land tenure status, farmer’s income, number of family dependents, and availability of facilities and infrastructure significantly influenced decision to adopt the TSS Technology. The adoption rate of TSS technology in Klambu District, Grobogan Regency during the study was in a very high category, which amounted to 86,75%. Adopter farmer's age, adopter farmer’s land area, and adopter farmer’s number of family dependents significantly influenced the components of TSS Technology adopted.
