ANALISIS PERMINTAAN JASA TRANSPORTASI UMUM DI KOTA SEMARANG (Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Trans Semarang)

Abstract

The city of Semarang as the capital of Central Java has the highest rate of growth in the province of Central Java. So with the high population growth and followed by an increase in economic activities, it will increase human and goods mobility. So that an increase in mobility must be balanced with sufficient infrastructure so as not to cause transportation problems. This study aims to analyze the demand for public transportation services in using the Trans Semarang corridor I service in the Mangkang-Penggaron department in supporting daily community activities. This research study uses a survey approach to find out the community's demand for using Trans Semarang. The sample technique used is Accidental Sampling for respondents of Trans Semarang service users. The method used is the least squares regression method (Ordinary Least Square-OLS) to determine the factors that influence public demand in using Trans Semarang transportation services. The results of this research study indicate that Trans Semarang transportation costs, use of other transportation, income, safety and comfort, timeliness have a positive effect on Trans Semarang service requests.
