Abstract
ABSTRACT Sari, Wahyu Nita. 2018. "Adverb of Chanto and Kichinto as Synonyms in Japanese Sentences". Research Paper, Japanese Language and Culture S1 Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Diponegoro University. Supervisor: Lina Rosliana, S.S., M. Hum. In this thesis writing, the author examines the "Adverb Chanto and Kichinto as Synonyms in Japanese Sentences". This writing aims to describe the structure and meaning of the adverb chanto and kichinto and explain the similarities and differences between the two adverbs in Japanese sentences, whether they can replace each other or not. The data in this study were taken from a film, a collection of online newspapers, official websites, Nejimaki Dori Kuronikuru short stories, and Japanese sites. The data collection method used is the reading and note-taking method, which is collecting data and selecting it to be used as analytical data, after which data is analyzed. In carrying out the analysis is using the agih method with substitution techniques. Based on the data analysis, it was concluded that the adverb chanto contained the nuance s of the situation that were considered perfect by the speaker, and could explain activity verbs, state verbs, nouns, and adjectives. Then, the kichinto adverb contains the nuances of a well-ordered state, and can explain activity verbs, state verbs, and nouns. Keywords: adverb, synonym, chanto, kichinto
