ABSTRACT Aditya Sihombing S, 2018. “Strategi Kesantunan pada Tindak Tutur Direktif dalam Drama My Boss My Hero” A Thesis of Japanese Language and Culture, Faculty of Humanities Diponegoro University, Semarang. Consultant: Maharani Patria Ratna, S.S., M.Hum. This research is about political strategies in directive speech act in the drama My Boss My Hero. The formulations of study are: 1. What kinds of directive speech act in the drama My Boss My Hero? 2. Ehat are the politeness strategies used in the drama My Boss My Hero? There are two objectives in the research. First is the description of directive speech act forms in the drama My Boss My Hero. Second is the description of politeness strategies used in the drama My Boss My Hero. Data source in this research is drama My Boss My Hero. Data collecting techniques used drama rekam, simak and cata technique. The data analysis method are contextual method.
