Departement Of Nursing Faculty Of Medicine Diponegoro University Semarang, September 2018 ABSTRACT Zipora Basarista Manik Overview of Nutritional Status of Preschool Children with Excessive Use of Devices in Al-Azhar Kindergarten 14 Semarang xv + 63 Pages + 6 Tables + 9 Attachments The prevalence of preschool children who use excess gadget is quite high, there are 80%, how many preschool children spend the screen screen time for> 1 hour every day. According to America Academic Of Pediatrics, it is argued that a child can only be in front of the screen <1 hour every day. These conditions can affect nutritional status, because children can become difficult to eat or even eat small meals excessively which can cause obesity. This study aims to describe the nutritional status of preschool children with the usages of excess gadget in Al-Azhar Kindergarten 14 Semarang. The research method used is quantitative using a cross sectional approach. A total of 105 respondents were obtained through total sampling. Data analysis uses univariate analysis. The results showed that preschoolers who used excess gadget had good nutritional status with good BB / U categories (80.0%), normal TB / U (83.8%), and normal BB / TB (62.9%) .The results of the nutritional status of children with the use of excess devices are majority normal because nutritional status can be balanced when parents are able to regulate their diet, the level of nutritional needs of children well in accordance with the nutritional needs needed by the body. It is expected that parents can maintain a balanced nutritious food intake for children who use excess gadget usages.
