ASPEK MORAL DALAM NOVEL WINTER DREAMS PERJALANAN SEMUSIM ILUSI KARYA MANGGIE TIOJAKIN (Sebuah Tinjauan Sosiologi Sastra)

"Moral Aspects in Winter Dreams Perjalanan Semusim Ilusi by Maggie Tiojakin: The Sociology of Literature Approach." Thesis (S1) Indonesian Language and Literature Department, Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Diponegoro, Semarang. Advisor: Drs. M. Muzzaka, M. Hum and Khothibul Umam, S.S, M. Hum. WDPSI novel tells the story of a world that is close and strange for the general reader in Indonesia: The social environment of the people in Indonesia and the United States of America. With light language and the message implied in it, WDPSI presents events that occur in people's lives that are often missed from observation. WDPSI novel by Maggie Tiojakin's contains many life values in it, especially the moral aspects that arise from the characters in the novel. This thesis aims to reveal the moral aspects that the author wants to convey to her readers. Structural theory is used to describe the elements of the existing structure in WDPSI's novel such as character, characterization, plot, distribution and setting This research is a library research because the source of data that is obtained is the result of written sources related to the material object, the WDPSI novel. The formal objects used are moral aspects and are studied using the sociology of literature approach. The results showed the main character in WDPSI's novel, Nicky F Romapa. Characterization in the WDPSI novel uses a dramatic technique. The flow in the WDPSI novel uses a straight (progressive) plot that is chronological. The most extensive setting in the WDPSI novel is in the United States. The time frame mentioned all happened in a few years. The social background contained in the WDPSI novel is the comparison of different social life between Indonesia and the United States. While the results of the novel moral aspect of WDPSI have several relationships, namely human relations with themselves, human relations with other humans in the social sphere, and human relations with their God.
