It is caused by several factors such as not-optimal socialization roles and functions in a family. When a teenager lacks of attention, he or she may do as he or she wants because there are no restrictions from the parents. Lack of attention can be translated into the absence of advices, restrictions, or punishments from the parents. Lack of supervision toward teenagers’ activities can cause free behavior in the teenagers. This research aimed to know the correlation between socialization roles and functions in a family and pre-marital sexual behavior in teenagers. The research design used a cross-sectional design conducted by measuring and observing the variables at the same time. The samples were 185 people taken by using purposive proportional random sampling. This research found that there was a correlation between the roles and pre-marital sexual behavior in teenagers with with significant 0.029 < α 0.05 and a correlation the functions of thesocialization in a family and pre-marital sexual behavior in teenagers with significant 0.013 < α 0.05.
